Iowa Restaurant Offers a Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce-Inspired Pizza

Fans of Taylor and Travis' budding relationship are going to love this collaboration! According to an article from the Des Moines Register, a Des Moines restaurant is now offering a new pizza that's inspired by their romance.

Truman's Pizza Tavern, located at 400 SE 6th Street, is the place to be if you're a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. That's why it makes perfect sense that they would create a pizza dedicated to "Traylor!" The restaurant's Facebook page reads:

"So, there is a new IT couple that EVERYONE is talking about….of course it’s Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift! And why wouldn’t your favorite Kansas City Chiefs pizza place create a pizza to celebrate this blessed union?"

Truman's Pizza Tavern's new dish is called The Chicken and Waffles Pizza (Traylor's Version). Apparently, Travis Kelce likes to enjoy strawberries and French toast before Chiefs games, and Taylor was spotted eating chicken tenders at one of the games, so that's how the idea came about. The post says that the pizza is made up of "Truman’s hand crafted crust with a spiced cinnamon cream cheese base with breaded chicken tenders, buttermilk waffle chunks, slices of strawberries, pineapple chunks, cinnamon, sugar, and mozzarella. Topped with a homemade strawberry and pineapple purée."

The restaurant's managing partner Chris Mendenhall told the Des Moines Register that the pizza is "fantastic" and "very filling," but that it "may be a little too eccentric and too wild for some people." They began selling it last Friday, October 6th and will only offer it for a limited time, so you may want to head there ASAP!
