Iowa Kids Can Take a FREE Airplane Ride & Learn About Flying
As a parent, I think it's a good idea to expose your kids to as many things as possible to see "what sticks". As they're growing up, they might try several different sports, explore nature, learn a musical instrument, read books, help in the garden, help fix the car, you name it. But here's something many kids may not ever get a chance to experience. Flying in an airplane. Most children (and many adults as well) are fascinated with airplanes. Here's your child's chance for a FREE airplane ride!
The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Young Eagles Chapter 227 invites youth ages 8 through 17 to sign-up for a free airplane ride. It's a great opportunity for young people to ride and learn about flying.
This is a great way to expand on your child’s interests
As the EAA Young Eagles mention on their website, it's "the only program of its kind, with the sole mission to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation."
You never know when the “spark” in your child will light up and become a lifetime of interest. Who knows? Maybe, they grow up to become an airplane pilot, or maybe join the Air Force and fly fighter jets. It could also be a doorway to get them excited about learning and maybe end up in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) program at their school.
