For good reason, too. I sure don't know how to pronounce Ocheyedan.

The city of about 439 may be one of those places where the locals scuff when a new meteorologist or, GASP, radio personality butchers the name.

Ocheyedan is best known for being home to the Ocheyedan Mound. The Ocheyedan Mound reaches 1,655 feet above sea level and some think it's the tallest point in Iowa.

It's not. But it's close. Hawkeye Point stands taller, with an elevation of 1,670 feet.

Hopefully, we can put a little respect on tiny Ocheyedan. It's hard to pronounce, but is seemingly a charming town.

Here's to you, Ocheyedan... or, O-shay-den as I pronounced it at first.
