A Northeast Iowa woman is dead, and a man injured, after being struck by a car while walking in a tavern parking lot.


The incident happened at about 1:30am Sunday (Dec. 1), at Bully's North, in Center Point.

According to witnesses, a sport utility vehicle driven by Daniel Klima of Urbana, ran into the two pedestrians, then fled the scene.

The woman, identified as 50 year old Kimberley Swore of Center Point, was pronounced dead at the scene. The injured man, 46 year old Jack Greenhaw of Vinton, was taken to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Klima drove away from the scene, but was later located.
The investigation is active and ongoing by the Linn County Sheriff's Office.
