Eastern Iowa authorities are asking for the public's help in the investigation into the death of a teenager, who's body was recovered from a lake.


15 year old Noah Herring of Tiffin was last seen in his hometown the afternoon of April 7th. He was reported missing to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office, which launched an "Operation Quickfind" on April 9th to locate the boy.

Herring's body was recovered from the Coralville Reservoir on Saturday (April 11).

The sheriff is requesting help from the public to locate anyone who was boating or fishing on the reservoir, near the Scales Pointe Campground, close to the area known as Diving Rock. The location is north of Iowa City.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Joint Emergency Communications Center, at 319-356-6800.

The cause of Herring's death was not released by authorities.
