Interstate Accident in Black Hawk County

The Black Hawk County Sheriff is investigating a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 380 that put one person in the hospital.

Deputies were called out just before 9:30pm Thursday (Dec. 10) to Mile Marker 56 on I-380.

A compact car, a Kia Soul, was rear-ended by a semi. Both vehicles were damaged, and ended up in the ditch.

The driver of the car was taken to MercyOne Hospital in Waterloo to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the semi was not hurt. No other information was available; the accident remains under investigation.
