In this case, it's a popular ice cream sold in a few major stores in Iowa, and across the country.
Popular Ice Cream Recalled
The Mochi Ice Cream Company has issued a major recall of one of its brands based on an ingredient they failed to disclose was present in the ingredients.

Based in Vernon, California, Mochi Ice Cream is sold in major retailers like Target and Walmart and offers many different flavors and varieties.
What makes the Mochi unique is their ice cream made from Japanese mochi, which is a type of rice. It isn't mochi that is the reason for the recall, however.
None of the ingredients was recalled because it could cause illness, but rather because the ingredient was left off the packaging.
One Key Ingredient Was Not Listed on the Box
The product being recalled is My Mochi Peach Mango Sorbet. The reason is that Mochi failed to disclose the product contains pasteurized cooked egg white.
For individuals with an egg allergy, this could cause serious health issues, even death. Fortunately, it appears only two individuals have had minor allergic reactions thus far.
The FDA states on its website that,
The product can be identified by the My Mochi brand and the flavor of Peach Mango. The product is in an orange 6 ct box weighing 7.5 oz, in the freezer section with lots of 337-24 & 341-24 marked on the box.
If you or anyone you know purchased My Mochi Peach Mango Sorbet, it can be returned to the place purchased for a full refund - or simply thrown away.
