A Northeast Iowa man is being cited for causing a 2 vehicle accident in Fayette County.


It happened at about 9am Sunday (May 28) at the intersection of 247th Street and V-68, south of Waucoma.

A van driven by 87 year old Cletus Moser of Hawkeye collided with an SUV driven by 37 year old Meghan Meyer of Strawberry Point. No one was injured, but there was $7,000 damage to the SUV, and Moser's van was totaled. He was charged with Failure to Yield When Entering a Highway.

An Oelwein man escaped injury in a one-vehicle accident. Just before noon on Monday,

76 year old Richard Pryor was driving east on Hiway 281, just south of Oelwein, when he lost control and drove into a ditch. Pryor was not hurt, and the damages to his 2015 Ford F-150 were estimated at $5,000.
