A road construction project will impact traffic in Floyd County on Wednesday (Aug. 29, 2018).

According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, the northbound and southbound ramps at the U.S. Highway 218/Iowa Highway 14 interchange near Charles City will be temporarily closed during the day while workers pave the bridge approaches.

Each ramp will be closed for no longer than two hours at separate times, IDOT officials said. The southbound off-ramp from U.S. 218 to Iowa 14 is scheduled to be closed during the morning, while the northbound on-ramp from Iowa 14 to U.S. 218 is scheduled to be closed in the afternoon. All ramps are supposed to reopen by the end of the day.

The paving project was initially scheduled to be done on Tuesday, but was pushed back a day due to rain.
