In 2019, the first measurable snowfall of the season in Waterloo/Cedar Falls occurred on October 28th, recording 1.4". The first flurries floated down from the sky on October 11th.

On Sunday, Cedar Rapids recorded 0.2" of snow. This was the earliest snowfall since 2006 for the city.
