Hearing Today for “Bachelor” Chris Soules is Canceled

A hearing for Arlington farmer and television celebrity Chris Soules scheduled for this afternoon has been cancelled.

The 36 year old Soules is charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident in Buchanan County. The accident happened in April of 2017, when a truck driven by Soules rear-ended a tractor driven by 66 year old Kenneth Mosher of Aurora. Mosher died of his injuries.

Soules had been seeking to have his trial moved out of Buchanan County because of pretrial publicity; his attorneys had also filed a motion to adjudicate law points.

A hearing on those motions was scheduled for this afternoon, however Soules has withdrawn the motions.

The trial for Soules, who had gained fame for his tv appearances on the Bachelor and Dancing with The Stars, is set for November 7th in Buchanan County District Court in Independence.
