WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) — A forum scheduled for Tuesday in Waterloo will address hate crimes and bias incidents.

The forum is aimed at strengthening hate crime responses by communities, local law enforcement and support agencies.

The U.S. Department of Justice, the FBI and other federal, state and local agencies are expected to participate.

The forum is set to run from 6 to 8 p.m. at the University of Northern Iowa Center for Urban Education, 800 Sycamore St., Waterloo.

A similar forum is planned next month in Cedar Rapids
