
Guilty Verdict in Waterloo Murder Trial
WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) — A 28-year-old man has been found guilty in the fatal shooting of an acquaintance in Waterloo.
Roderick Ward Jr. was found guilty of second-degree murder on Thursday. He was initially charged with first-degree murder.
Prosecutors say Ward killed 27-year-old Gary Wilson on Aug. 2, 2014. According to prosecutors, Ward followed Wilson outside Ward's house after arguing, and then shot him several times.
Wilson was transported to a hospital, where he later died.
