Organizers of the Great Jones County Fair in eastern Iowa have announced the entertainers that are scheduled to appear in 2021.

Eight artists have been booked to perform at four different concerts next year, and seven of them will be performing at the fair for the first time. The dates for the 169th Great Jones County Fair are July 21-25, 2021, in Monticello.

Here is next year's scheduled entertainment and the performance dates:

  • Dan + Shay with Gavin DeGraw - Thursday, July 22
  • Zac Brown Band with Ross Ellis - Friday, July 23
  • Kane Brown with Midland - Saturday, July 24
  • For King and Country with Zach Williams - Sunday, July 25

More information about each concert will be released this fall, Great Jones County Fair General Manager John Harms said Tuesday. He added that details on when tickets can be purchased will also be determined at that time.

Two of the acts scheduled to appear in 2021 were lined up to take the stage this year, before the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of all planned entertainment. Dan + Shay, the Zac Brown Band, Alan Jackson and Dustin Lynch were all slated to headline the 2020 fair next month.

Despite the canceled entertainment, the 2020 Great Jones County Fair will be held July 22-26 in Monticello. According to fair organizers, the five-day event this year will focus on area youths in F.F.A. (Future Farmers of America) and 4H (Head, Heart, Hands, and Health) and their projects.
