Flour Truck Crash Under Investigation

The Lynn County Sheriff is investigating an accident in which a semi loaded with flour, ended up on it's side in the ditch.

It happened just before 9am Tuesday, on the ramp from Highway 30 Eastbound, to Highway 13 Northbound, near Mount Vernon.

Responding officers found a 2008 Freightliner, pulling a cargo trailer, on it's side in the north ditch. The truck trailer was loaded with flour, which remained inside the unit.

The driver, 61 year old Douglas Andrews of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, was taken to Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
