The Fayette County Sheriff reports several recent, but unrelated, arrests on various charges.


On Sunday (Aug. 25) at about 1:30pm, the sheriff received a call reporting an assault at a residence in the 23,000 block of 60th Street, near Arlington. An investigation determined that 34 year old Richard Hubbard III of Garnavillo, had physically assaulted another adult at the home. Hubbard was taken to the Fayette County jail for assault, and held until his initial court appearance.

Also on Sunday, a deputy with the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, located and arrested 27 year old Robert Rinella Jr. of Oelwein. Rinella was wanted on a Fayette County warrant for Burglary in the 3rd Degree. He was also charged with Interference with Official Acts, and Providing False Identification Information. Rinella was held on a $5,000 bond for the warrant, and additional charges pending a hearing before a magistrate.

A Strawberry Point man was charged following a traffic stop in Arlington. It happened shortly after 11pm Friday. After pulling the vehicle over for a traffic violation, the driver, 28 year old Matthew Jennerjohn was arrested for Operating with a Suspended License, no Insurance, and No Registration.
