Fayette Sheriff Arrests Two For Illegal Drug Charges
A routine traffic stop in rural Fayette County, has resulted in the arrest of two people, on illegal drug charges.
At about 10pm Monday (March 22), a Fayette County deputy pulled over a vehicle on 152nd Street, one mile north of the city of Fayette for a driving infraction.
After the car was pulled over, the deputy found the occupants had marijuana inside the vehicle. As a result, 20 year old Christopher Rios of Superior, Wisconsin was arrested for Possession of Marijuana-1st Offense, Possession of Canibidiol-1st Offense, and 6 counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The other occupant, 23 year old William Stevenson of St. Paul, Minnesota, was charged with Possession of Marijuana-1st Offense. Both men were taken to the Fayette County jail, to be held until their initial court appearance.
