Two Dubuque men have been arrested on drug charges, after the Fayette Police Department found a quantity of illegal drugs in an apartment in the city of Fayette.


On May 8th, in the early morning hours, officers executed a search warrant at 106 Mechanic Street in Fayette.

Officers seized 8.5 pounds of marijuana, edibles, wax, THC oils, and "Crumble", which is a highly potent and dangerous variation of marijuana wax. The street value of the drugs was estimated at about $15,000.

Authorities also found an illegal tattoo operation that was being operated in the apartment.

After the search, 23 year old Matthew Wessels of Dubuque was arrested for Possession with Intent to Deliver, Possession of drug paraphernalia, and illegal tattooing which is a violation of public health rules.

They also arrested 21 year old Eric Heiderscheit of Dubuque, for Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

The investigation continues and more charges could be filed.
