Fayette Man Arrested for Assault and Drug Charges

An incident early this morning (Thursday, Jan. 23) has resulted in the arrest of a Fayette man.

The Fayette County Sheriff received a 911 call at about 1:45am, reporting a disturbance at a residence. Following an investigation, deputies took 39 year old Jeremiah Bennett of Fayette into custody, on charges of Domestic Assault-1st Offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and introducing contraband into a correctional facility. Bennett is being held until his initial court appearance.

Fayette County authorities have arrested a Cresco man this morning (Thursday, Jan. 23) for 2 Fayette County warrants. Just before 1:30am, 21 year old Gannon Willie was taken into custody on warrants for Failure to Appear in Court, and Violation of a No-contact order. Willie was held on $1,000 bond.

An Elgin man was arrested in Clermont on an assault charge. Fayette County deputies were called out at about 3pm Tuesday to a domestic disturbance. After investigating, 35 year old David Gyorko was arrested and charged with Domestic Abuse Assault. He was held in the Fayette County jail until his initial court appearance.
