Fayette County Sheriff Reports Rural Accidents

A West Union motorist is being charged with causing a two vehicle accident in Fayette County.

It happened at about 9:30am Wednesday (Jan. 3), in the 18,000 block of Highway 3 near the roundabout. An eastbound semi driven by 59 year old Lawrence Ronald of Glenville, Minnesota, slowed to make a right turn, when he was rear-ended by a car driven by 24 year old Chelsea Rasmussen of West Union. No one was injured; damages to the car were estimated at $4,000. Rasmussen was cited for Following too Close.

The Fayette County sheriff continues to investigate an accident Wednesday morning near the intersection of Highway 187 and 30th Street, south of Arlington. A northbound car driven by 25 year old Robyn Hosch of Manchester, went out of control due to weather conditions, and entered a ditch. No one was injured, but there was $3,000 damage to her 2010 Hyundai Elantra.
