Four area residents have been arrested by the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, on various outstanding warrants.


The latest arrest was made this morning (Wednesday, Dec. 26); 22 year old Jacob Swearingen of Westgate was wanted for a probation violation. He was held with no bond until his initial court appearance.

28 year old Kaitlyn Rathjen of Oelwein was taken into custody on Sunday, on a Fayette County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while suspended. She was released after posting bond.

51 year old Mark Olson of Oelwein was arrested Friday, for a warrant for Contempt of Court. The original charges were Driving While his License is Suspended, and Failure to Prove Security Against Liability. Olson was held until his initial court appearance.

Also on Friday, 37 year old Kenneth Ogle of Cedar Rapids was taken into custody on a Fayette County warrant for Failure to Appear. The original charge was Theft-5th Degree. He was later released on a $5,000 unsecured appearance bond.
