Fayette Co. Sheriff Reports Arrest and Car/deer Accident
An Oelwein man has been arrested on an outstanding warrant.
On Tuesday, a Fayette County deputy located and arrested 26 year old Benito Trevino on a valid Fayette County warrant for a probation violation; the original charge was for prohibited acts involving methamphetamine.

An Oelwein woman has escaped injury when her vehicle struck a deer late last (Tuesday) night. It happened at about 11:30pm Tuesday, on Neon Road, south of Maynard.
An SUV driven by 46 year old Amy McDonough collided with a deer that entered the roadway; no one was injured, but ther was $2,500 in damage.
