Fairbank Woman Dies in One Vehicle Accident

A Fairbank woman has died in a one-vehicle accident in Bremer County.

Just before 12:30pm Monday (July 16), the Bremer County Sheriff was called to a rollover accident in the 3100 block of county road C-33, southwest of Sumner.

A vehicle driven by 62 year old Janann Kramer of Fairbank, went out of control and rolled in the ditch.

A passenger, 72 year old Donna Fratzke, was ejected. She later died from her injuries.
Kramer and another passenger, 52 year old Warren Cowart, also of Fairbank, were injured; the extent of their injuries were unknown.

The Bremer County Sheriff continues the investigation; they were assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, Sumner Fire Department, SEMS Ambulance Service, and Denver Ambulance Service.
