Erratic Driver Arrested for Violations and Stealing Park Sign

The Fayette County Sheriff's office has arrested a Solon man, after authorities received a report of an erratic driver.

The incident happened at about 4pm Thursday (May 24); the sheriff got several driving complaints near the Maynard turnoff on Highway 150. The driver was passing at a high rate of speed, and swerving all over the road. The vehicle was located and stopped on Highway 3; the driver, 44 year old Vanai Vang, was arrested for OWI 1st Offense, and also 5th degree Theft, after a sign from a local state park was found in his vehicle.

A resident of the Prairie View Residential Facility near Fayette, faces charges after a suspicious item was found by the facility staff. After completion of the investigation, which began on May 22nd, 29 year old Matthew Bohl of Mason City was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
