HILLS, Iowa (AP) — Officials say one person has been injured after jumping from a moving party bus in eastern Iowa.

Johnson County Sheriff Lonny Pulkrabek says the person was hospitalized after jumping from the vehicle early Sunday morning on Highway 218, south of Hills. The person hasn't been identified, and Pulkrabek says he's unsure of his or her condition.

Pulkrabek say the person shoved an exit door open before jumping from the bus.

It is legal to drink on party buses in Iowa. They are commonly used to shuttle groups between bars and other drinking venues.
