Eastern Iowa Man has Been Arrested for Assault in Oelwein

Oelwein Police have arrested an eastern Iowa man for an alleged assault.

At about 3:30pm Wednesday (Feb. 20)officers were called to an incident in the 600 block of South Frederick. 32 year old Quinton Edwards of Martelle was taken into custody on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault.

The Oelwein Police Department is investigating 2 reported theft incidents.
Officers were called just before 10:30am Tuesday to the 10 block of 1st Avenue Se, and just before noon Tuesday, to the 10 block of North Frederick, on reported thefts. No other information was released, and the incidents remain under investigation.
