Popular Eastern Iowa Bar Catches Fire, Significant Damage Reported

It's unknown what caused the fire at this time, and the incident is still under investigation. We will keep you posted on this breaking story as further developments arise.
Firefighters have been kept quite busy in Eastern Iowa in the past month, after several high-profile blazes have been reported, including at a Vinton park, a downtown Cedar Rapids boutique, and another favorite small-town watering hole in Clayton County. The Cedar Rapids Fire Department alone reportedly responded to what it called an "abnormally busy" volume of fire calls for a single day earlier this month, prompting them to reiterate several safety reminders.
The owners of Shuey's vow to rebuild.
