
East Iowa Man Dies in I-380 Accident
Icy roads are being sited as a factor in a deadly crash in Johnson County early this morning (Wednesday, Jan. 3)
.
It happened at about 1am today, at the 8 mile marker of Interstate 380, just south of Swisher.
A car driven by 65 year old Randall Martin of North Liberty, slid off the road due to snow or ice on the pavement. The car went into a ditch, where it rolled onto it's top.
Martin, the driver, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident was investigated by the Iowa State Patrol, Johnson County Sheriff, and Swisher Fire Department.
