
Drug Investigation in Oelwein Nets 2 Arrests, More Pending
Oelwein Police have arrested 2 people and issued a warrant for a 3rd, in connection with a multi-month drug investigation.
As a result of the investigation, authorities have arrested 54 year old Kathleen Ott and 40 year old Joshua Alitz, both of Oelwein.
A warrant was also issued for the arrest of 48 year old Scott McLaury of Hazleton. McLaury is being charged with delivery of more than 5 grams of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), as well as a state drug tax stamp violation.
Ott is charged with Delivery of Meth-less than 5 grams, Delivery of Meth-more than 5 grams, and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth) with intent to deliver.
Alitz was arrested for Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Meth)-less than 5 grams, Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Meth) less than 5 grams, and Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Meth)- more than 5 grams.
This drug investigation continues, and more charges may be filed.
The Oelwein Police Department was assisted by the Iowa Department of Narcotics Enforcement.
