Driver Taken to Hospital After Crashing into Semi

The Fayette County Sheriff is investigating an accident involving a car and a semi that sent one person to the hospital.

It happened shortly before 7am Tuesday (June 6) near the intersection of Highway 3 and "Y" Avenue, just north of Oran.

A semi driven by 31 year old Jacob Stamp of Oelwein, was westbound, when he was rear-ended by a car driven by 59 year old Vicki Levendusky of Oelwein.

Levendusky was taken to Unity Point-Allen Hospital in Waterloo for treatment. Her 2002 Ford Taurus was totaled.

The Fayette County Sheriff was assisted at the scene by Oran Fire, First Responders, and Fairbank Ambulance Service.
