Driver in a Ditch, Arrested for OWI

Buchanan County authorities have charged an Anamosa motorist, after finding his vehicle in a roadside ditch.

On Saturday (April 2nd), the Buchanan County Sheriff got a report of a vehicle in the ditch near 190th Street and Highway 187, south of Lamont.

Responding deputies arrested 19 year old Corydon Strickell for OWI-1st Offense, possession of alcohol under the legal age, and failure to maintain control.

No injuries were reported.

An Oelwein man has been arrested on an outstanding warrant. 46 year old Bruce Krum was taken into custody on Friday (April 1st). He was wanted on an active arrest warrant from Buchanan County on a charge of failure to apear. Oelwein Police assisted in the arrest. Krum was held at the Buchanan County Jail in Independence.
