Driver Cited for Accident in an Area Roundabout

An area motorist is being charged after crashing into another vehicle in a rural roundabout.

Shortly after 8am Thursday (Aug. 31), the Fayette County Sheriff was notified by a 911 call, of an accident in the roundabout at the intersection of HIghway 3 and Highway 187, south of Arlington.

A westbound vehicle driven by 34 year old Andrea Paris of Strawberry Point, failed to yield to a northbound van driven by 33 year old Jeremy Van Auken of Wilton.

No one was injured, but there was $1,500 damage to Van Auken's 2013 Ford Econoline van, and $2,500 damage to Paris' 2015 Chevy Traverse.

Paris was cited for Failure to Yield the Right of Way.
