Driver Charged in Fayette County Accident

A Cedar Rapids motorist is being charged with causing a two-vehicle accident in Fayette County, Friday afternoon (July 3rd).

Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the accident scene at about noon Friday, at the intersection of Highway 3 and "W" Avenue, east of Oran.

A car driven by 21 year old Acceia Crusoe of Cedar Rapids, pulled out from a stop sign, and collided with a pickup driven by 61 year old Mitchell Gipper of Faibank.

No one was injured. There was $1,000 worth of damage to the 2006 Ford F-150, and $2,000 damage to Crusoe's 2006 Buick Lucerne.

Crusoe is being charged with Failure to Yield the Right of Way.
