
Driver Charged For Driving Through Field, Fence, and into Embankment
An eastern Iowa man has been injured in a one-vehicle accident near Marion last night (Dec. 12).
At about 9:30pm Wednesday, emergency workers were called to the accident site near Prairie Chapel Road and Clemens Lane.
A vehicle operated by 21 year old David Bogert of Marion, was driven into a farm field, through a fence, and down an embankment.
The passenger, 19 year old Jordan Tomash of Marion, was injured. He was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Bogert, the driver, was charged with Operating While Intoxicated-2nd Offense, Open Container, Reckless Driving, and not wearing his seatbelt.
