The Bremer County Sheriff's Office has released information on a traffic accident from last week, in which a Northeast Iowa man drove his sport utility vehicle into a creek.

At about 5am on Friday (Aug. 17), the sheriff took a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Highway 93, east of county road V-48, west of Sumner.

33 year old Nathan Greenway of Sumner was driving eastbound on Highway 93, when he reportedly swerved to miss a deer. The vehicle went out of control, entered the ditch, and came to rest in a creek.

No injuries were reported. Greenway is being charged with Failure to Maintain Control.
