Driver Charged After Crashing Into Utility Pole

An Aurora motorist is being cited after crashing his car into a utility pole.

The accident was reported to the Fayette County Sheriff at about 4:45pm Tuesday (Jan. 9); a vehicle was in the ditch near the intersection of 90th Street and "F" Avenue, just west of Arlington.

A westbound car driven by 20 year old Carter Downer went out of control, entered a ditch, then struck a utility pole.

Downer was not hurt, but his 2008 Nissan Altima was totaled. He was charged with Failure to Maintain Control.
