
Driver Arrested After Crashing Through a Stop Sign
A Decorah motorist faces charges after he crashed his car, but then left the scene of the accident.
According to the Winneshiek County Sheriff, the incident happened at about 4:30pm Monday (Aug. 19), on Old Stage Road in Decorah Township.
65 year old Randy Erion was traveling northbound, when his vehicle drifted off the road, crashed through a stop sign and struck a guardrail.
Erion left the scene before deputies arrived. He was later found, and arrested for Operating While Under the Influence.
