Drinking and Driving Arrests in Fayette County

A local man faces charges following a traffic stop in Oelwein.

Just before 10:30pm Tuesday (Aug. 15), a Fayette County deputy pulled over a car in the 100 block of 6th Avenue NW in Oelwein. The driver, 42 year old Jess Ledesma of Oelwein, was charged with Operating While Intoxicated-1st Offense, and Possession of Marijuana-1st Offense.

The Oelwein Police Department assisted in the arrest.

A few minutes later, a West Union woman was stopped for a traffic violation. Following an investigation, 59 year old Sandra Bishop was arrested for OWI. She was held until an initial court appearance.
