It isn't just deer you have to look out for, when you're driving Iowa's roads.

At about 10:45pm November 13th, 26 year old Andrew Hovden of Decorah was driving north on Quarry Hill Road just east of Decorah, when he swerved to avoid hitting several raccoons in the roadway.

Hovden lost control of his vehicle; it went into a steep ditch, and rolled over.
No ambulance was needed, but his 2017 Chevrolet Silverado sustained $20,000 in damage.

Hovden is being charged with Failure to Maintain Control, and having an Open Container of Alcohol in the vehicle.

(No raccoons were injured).
