Domestic Abuse and Illegal Drug Arrests in Oelwein

Two area people have been arrested on separate incidents of domestic abuse.

Just before 10:30pm Sunday (Dec. 4), 57 year old Cathy Wright of Oelwein was taken into custody on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault, following an incident in the 400 block of 5th Avenue NE.

And shortly after 5:30pm Sunday, 20 year old Dakota Veber of Oelwein was arrested at the Oelwein Police Department, on a Fayette County Warrant. The original charge was Domestic Abuse Assault.

Oelwein Police have arrested a young Cedar Rapids man on illegal drug charges. At about 9pm Saturday (Dec. 3), 19 year old Tyler Kelly was taken into custody in the 600 block of South Frederick. He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
