Disturbance Call Results in Arrest of Waukon Man
A Northeast Iowa man has been arrested on drug and assault charges, after he was discovered walking around with a knife.
At about 5am Saturday (May 30), Waukon Police were called to a residence at 40 Allamakee Street on the report of a disturbance. The suspect, 20 year old Adam Higgins of Waukon, was taken into custody on charges of assault causing serious injury and criminal mischief 5th degree.
Before he was being placed in a jail cell, officers read Higgens a warning about taking contraband into jail.
Afterword, police discovered that Higgins was in possession of an illegal substance as he was being put in his cell. He was then charged with possession of contraband in a correctional institution.
