Two Cedar Valley residents have been injured in a one-vehicle accident in Grundy County.


The accident happened at about 8:30pm Monday, on Highway 20 near Dike. A sport utility vehicle driven by 50 year old Sheila Smith of Cedar Falls, was eastbound near the T-55 interchange, when the Jeep went off the road at a curve.

 

Smith over-corrected, and lost control. The Jeep rolled several times into the ditch.

Smith and her passenger, 61 year old Randy Troutwine of Waterloo, were taken to Covenant Medical Center for treatment. There was no indication on the severity of their injuries.

The Jeep had $10,000 in damages. The accident was investigated by the Grundy County Sheriff, with assistance from the Dike Fire Department and Grundy Center Ambulance.
