A response to a sidelined motorist has resulted in the arrest of a Northeast Iowa man.

Just before 10pm Thursday (May 11), a Fayette County deputy spotted a vehicle pull over onto the side of the road in rural Fayette County, with it's hazard lights flashing.

When the officer looked into the matter, he arrested the driver, 20 year old Derek Factor of Charles City, on a charge of Driving While his License is Suspended.

Factor was held in the Fayette County jail in West Union, pending his initial court appearance.
