A Sumner woman has been arrested on 3 outstanding warrants.


Just before 10am Wednesday (March 20), a Fayette County Deputy pulled a vehicle over for a traffic violation, at the intersection of Highway 93 and County Road W-25, west of Fayette.

The officer discovered that the driver, 22 year old Abbie Miller of Sumner, had 3 outstanding warrants from Des Moines. Two of the warrants were for Forgery, and one for Theft-2nd Degree. Miller was held on $15,000 cash bond, and will be transferred to Des Moines.

A Dubuque woman, 25 year old Sylvia Timmons, was cited by Fayette County deputies Wednesday, when it was found that she drove to the sheriff's office to visit an inmate, but she was driving on a suspended license. Timmons was cited, then released.
