Denver Driver Dies in Butler County Crash
A Denver, Iowa man has died in a two vehicle accident in Butler County.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, it happened at about 4:30am this morning (Friday, July 23), at the intersection of 280th Street and Temple Avenue, north of New Hartford.
A sport utility vehicle driven by 40 year old Seth Sanderson of Denver, failed to stop at the posted stop sign, and collided with a pickup driven by 58 year old Denis Morrow of New Hartford.
Sanderson was killed in the accident.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Butler County Sheriff's Office, Shell Rock Fire Department/EMS, New Hartford Ambulance, and Waverly Ambulance.

A Waterloo man described by the judge as a very dangerous person has been sentenced to eight years in prison.
Twenty-eight-year-old Trenton Sliekers pleaded guilty in federal court to being a felon in possession of a firearm.
According to a news release from the U-S Attorney's Office Slickers admits shooting six bullets into a house occupied by children and adults. One of the bullets lodged in a couch cushion.
Before sentencing, the federal judge cited Slickers' previous convictions and called him a violent man who's likely to commit more crimes in the future.
Online records indicate Slickers has about a dozen convictions in STATE court over the past decade, the most recent for intimidation with a dangerous weapon.

Authorities in northwest Iowa are releasing more information about a fatal one-vehicle accident on Thursday morning.
Emmet County Sheriff Mike Martens says at around 5:40 A-M, his office received a call from a motorist reporting a vehicle on its top about three miles north of Estherville.
Upon investigation at the scene, it was determined that the 2002 Ford pickup was traveling southbound on 400th Avenue when the driver lost control causing the vehicle to skid. The vehicle began rolling on the roadway before coming to rest on its top on the east shoulder and ditch of 400th Avenue.
The driver of the vehicle, 16-year-old James Dean Woodyard of rural Estherville, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
