Deer Shatters Car Windshield, Driver Escapes Injury

No one is reported injured in a Fayette County accident involving a deer, that did extensive damage to a car.

On Sunday (Sept. 20), a Fayette County Sheriff's deputy was called to the accident site in the 24,700 block of Canoe Road, south of Clermont.

A car driven by 20 year old Logan Monteith of Decorah collided with a deer, that had jumped out of a ditch onto the northbound lane of the highway.

The collision shattered the front windshield.

No one was injured, but the 2011 Nissan Altima sustained over $1,500 in damage.
