Deer Causes Extensive Damage to Truck

A Northeast Iowa motorist was not hurt, but his truck had considerable damage, after it struck a deer in rural Fayette County.

The accident happened at about 9:30pm Monday (Oct. 1), on Eagle Road, west of Elgin. A truck driven by 27 year old Steven McAllen of Elgin, hit a deer, as it ran out onto the roadway.

McAllen was not injured, but this 2011 Chevy Truck had $6,500 in damages.
