Decorah Woman Killed in Interstate Accident
Authorities have released the name of a Decorah woman, killed in a two-vehicle accident on the south side of Cedar Rapids.
The accident happened just after 6:30pm Friday (Aug. 28) on Interstate 380 near Highway 30.
Two vehicles rear-ended a flat bed truck. One of the occupants, 57 year old Rebecca "Becky" Anderson of Decorah, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 31 year old man from North Liberty was seriously hurt; he was taken to University Hospitals in Iowa City.
No other information on how the accident happened, has been released. The southbound lanes of 380 were closed until the accident site could be cleared.
