A Decorah resident has been arrested for having methamphetamine and psychedelic mushrooms.


Just before 9pm Wednesday, the Winneshiek County Sheriff executed a search warrant at 1679 260th Street, east of Decorah. The search warrant was issued after a long investigation by the sheriff.

As a result of the search, 43 year old Jesse Seelinger of Decorah was put in jail on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine, and Possession of a Controlled Substance-Psilocybin Mushrooms. Both charges are serious misdemeanors.

The case is still under investigation, and more arrests and charges are expected.
