Deadly Eastern Iowa Accident, No Names Yet

One person has died in a two-vehicle accident in Jones County.

It happened at about 9pm Wednesday on Highway 151, near Monticello.

A northbound car was traveling in the southbound lanes, when it collided head-on with a truck.

The driver of the car was killed in the accident; the truck driver was taken to University Hospitals.

No names have been released yet.

The accident is still under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
